31 life lessons
in honor of turning, wait for it, thirty-one
I’ve lived a lot of life as someone who’s only in their 30s. Struggling with intrusive thoughts at a young age, a brand new nurse during covid, narcissistic authority figures everywhere I turn, leaving a man I thought I would marry, finding out about my dad cheating on my mom for years, a schizophrenic dude in my apartment while I’m naked showering, running a business while working full-time. I used to be pretty ashamed about this for awhile. Comparing myself to my friends thinking I pissed the universe off or something, but actually, it’s such a gift. I’ve got wisdom for SURE.
I went to see a psychic a few years ago and she told me I’m an old soul, that this is my last life here. It made sense, it’s typical of old souls to get “woken up” to the matrix and our gifts REAL FAST, because we’ve already played this game before. She told me I was supposed to have a very different life, like in this current lifetime. Somewhere along the line it was decided that things were going to be switched up.
I’m not one of those people that knew I wanted to be an entrepreneur from the get. This life feels like an entirely different one than the one I was living at the age of 27. It’s like BC vs. AC LOL. Except before awakening, after awakening. Two completely different people. It felt like one day someone tapped me on the shoulder and told my soul to wake the fuck up. I know in my bones had I not left my ex-boyfriend my life would’ve looked very different. Largely unfulfilling, dark. I remind myself how lucky I am that I basically cheated the system.
I don’t want to blab too much for this one so let’s hop to it. We’re not going in depth I'm literally going to be cut throat, we’re just going to let them RIP.
